Birthdays are an amazing event, and we celebrate them to the extreme. Yesterday was no exception. Our daughter, Jeannie, is turning 4 on Nov 21, 2007! A few months ago she decided that she wanted to have Candy Land birthday party. Wow...what a fun experience that is going to be I told her. So we put our thinking hats on and came up with some really great ideas, and how to go about creating a candy land in our home. We sent out the invitations and 5 of her friends said they would love to come. What had I gotten myself into??? Well yesterday was the grand event, and I have to say, I am still alive and so are 8 other kids...LOL Jeannie had the best time ever and couldn't thank mommy and daddy enough for her wonderful cake.

Hotel living

Here I sit at the end of a very long day, and even longer week, wondering if I did everything I was suppose to do. I haven't blogged this last week, due to the fact that our Korean foreign exchange students tried to make our 2ND floor home into a swimming pool. Living in a hotel for a week, was not and is not my favorite thing to do, unless it was on some remote island, where someone was there to bring me cool drinks while I lounged in a chair, reading my favorite book.
Anyways, back to reality! It's going to be at least 3 more weeks before all the work is complete and my house is back to normal. I sent our daughters to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for the week, so I wouldn't have to worry abt keeping them entertained while all of this was going on. They had a blast, of course! So, now we are all home, trying to live with only one bathroom and shower. Oh, I cant wait til things are back to normal, if there was such a thing!

My daughter Jeannie,
who is 3 1/2 yrs old, got up this morning to get her own breakfast. I just cant believe how fast she has grown! She asked later if I loved her. I was stunned by this at first, and replied, "Of course I love you, why do you ask?" She didn't answer me, but asked, "How long will you love me?" At this point, I was thinking to myself, do I tell my children I love then enough? What could I have done for her to ask these questions?? So I told her that I loved her for forever, and that we would be a family for eternity. She made me promise ...so here I was, bending down on my knees, looking straight into her beautiful blue eyes and promised to love her forever. I was awarded with the most giant bear hug and a "thank you Mommy, I love you too."
