HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Our family just loves Halloween! Every year we decide months in advance about what we want to be. This year was so much fun! Mike and Matthew went as George and The Man in the Yellow Hat, Jeannie went as a Witch, Bekah was a Flower Fairy, and I was a "Cereal Killer".

Woodland has a community trick or treat downtown and so Mike loaded the kids up and off they went. I was surprised to find out on Sunday morning, that Mike and Matthew's picture was on the Front page of the Daily Democrat newspaper! They were so excited!

Here are some pictures from our Church Trunk-or-Treat activity.

Bekah, the Flower Fairy loves the cupcake walk! But I think she likes the frosting on the cupcakes more then the cupcake itself! She ended up eating 3!!

Jeannie made a fabulous Witch this year! She even let me spray her hair orange! She was so proud that she could cackle like a real witch! She had us laughing the whole night!

Matthew had so much fun! He made a really cute George!! And I am sorry to say, He stole the show!

Happy Halloween!

Well another Halloween has come and gone. The girls were very excited about trick or treating this year. When I asked Jeannie what she wanted to be, she very enthusiastically replied,
"How about we all be clowns!"
So clowns we were. I went to Jo Ann's Fabric in Aug and got fabrics for all four costumes.

Jeannie picked out purples and greens,

Bekah decided to go for her fav color, PINK,
mine was bright colors, and Mike went for manly greens and browns. Needless to say, with all of Mike's health problems, I didnt get the costumes sown until a few days before Halloween.

Wednesday the 29th, our church had their annual Trunk or Treat/Chili Cook-off, and we decided to try out our costumes early. (Why not, I spent
hours making them!)

The girls really liked the cupcake walk. As you
can see, Bekah has two in her hands!

Birthdays are an amazing event, and we celebrate them to the extreme. Yesterday was no exception. Our daughter, Jeannie, is turning 4 on Nov 21, 2007! A few months ago she decided that she wanted to have Candy Land birthday party. Wow...what a fun experience that is going to be I told her. So we put our thinking hats on and came up with some really great ideas, and how to go about creating a candy land in our home. We sent out the invitations and 5 of her friends said they would love to come. What had I gotten myself into??? Well yesterday was the grand event, and I have to say, I am still alive and so are 8 other kids...LOL Jeannie had the best time ever and couldn't thank mommy and daddy enough for her wonderful cake.

Hotel living

Here I sit at the end of a very long day, and even longer week, wondering if I did everything I was suppose to do. I haven't blogged this last week, due to the fact that our Korean foreign exchange students tried to make our 2ND floor home into a swimming pool. Living in a hotel for a week, was not and is not my favorite thing to do, unless it was on some remote island, where someone was there to bring me cool drinks while I lounged in a chair, reading my favorite book.
Anyways, back to reality! It's going to be at least 3 more weeks before all the work is complete and my house is back to normal. I sent our daughters to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for the week, so I wouldn't have to worry abt keeping them entertained while all of this was going on. They had a blast, of course! So, now we are all home, trying to live with only one bathroom and shower. Oh, I cant wait til things are back to normal, if there was such a thing!

My daughter Jeannie,
who is 3 1/2 yrs old, got up this morning to get her own breakfast. I just cant believe how fast she has grown! She asked later if I loved her. I was stunned by this at first, and replied, "Of course I love you, why do you ask?" She didn't answer me, but asked, "How long will you love me?" At this point, I was thinking to myself, do I tell my children I love then enough? What could I have done for her to ask these questions?? So I told her that I loved her for forever, and that we would be a family for eternity. She made me promise ...so here I was, bending down on my knees, looking straight into her beautiful blue eyes and promised to love her forever. I was awarded with the most giant bear hug and a "thank you Mommy, I love you too."
